Children & Youth Treatment Services

Children and Adolescents

This program serves school-aged youth in crisis due to pronounced social and or behavioral difficulties. We work as a team of mental health, education and support professionals to enhance/restore functioning in the home, school and community.

Population
  • K-12th graders.
  • Diagnosed with a mental illness.
  • IQ above 70.

Children's Acute Partial Hospitalization

The purpose of the CAPH Program is to provide daytime treatment and education. This intervention may eliminate or reduce the emotional/behavioral problems or chronic mental health problems experienced by the child. This Children/Adolescent Partial Hospital Program is the only one in the area and currently serves all school districts in Butler County.

This program:
  • Provides thorough assessment of the childs needs.
  • Provides transitional planning for continued mental health and education services.
  • Strives to improve functioning in the community and school.
  • Provides social skills development.
  • Medication management (if necessary).

Summer Therapeutic Activities Program

This program serves children in Butler County, ages six through eighteen who struggle with serious emotional illnesses. Treatment will be based on the individualized needs of the child. All children participating in this program will have a documented need and will be recommended as medically necessary by a staff physician.

This program provides therapeutic intervention that will promote the following:
  • Increased socialization.
  • Increased self-esteem.
  • Decreased symptoms of illness.

Administrative Case Management

The Triage Unit accepts initial contacts to the center and provides administrative case management for clients receiving medications who do not require other forms of mental health treatment. Services are monitored to ensure continuity of care.

Case managers:

  • Act as liaisons between programs
  • Monitor progress of clients
  • Help clients with development of their treatment plans
  • Perform essential record keeping duties
